If you are not entirely satisfied with the hire of our services prior to the hire date, we’re here to help.
A deposit of £50 per vehicle, is payable at the time of booking. The balance of the hire charge is payable by fourteen days prior to the date of hire, unless other payment terms are agreed. McCalls Coaches reserves the right to decline to execute any work when the foregoing condition has not been adhered to, in which case the deposit becomes forfeitable by the hirer to McCalls Coaches.
McCalls Coaches reserve the right to impose additional charges on the hirer following completion of the hire if the passengers have left the vehicle in an unreasonably untidy condition or having required additional time or mileage which was not included for in the original booking.
Either party can cancel the trip for whatever reason 14 days before the trip takes place. If a booking is cancelled in writing by the 'The Hirer' with more than 14 working days left before the date of travel, other than the initial deposit paid by the Customer, the Customer will have no further costs to pay.
Once we have received your notice for a refund, we will inspect it and notify you of the status of your refund. Please note that the amount of refund you may receive is outlined below.
Your deposit is non-transferrable and non-refundable.
Cancellation by 'The Hirer'
a) Cancellation by ‘The Hirer’ of the booking more than 5 working days prior to the hire - ‘The Hirer’ will receive a full refund minus deposit paid on the original method of payment.
b) Cancellation ‘The Hirer’ less than 5 working days prior to the hire - ‘The Hirer’ will have 50% of the total hire charge minus deposit paid returned on the original method of payment.
c) Cancellation ‘The Hirer’ on the day prior or on the day of hire, before the vehicle has departed our premises - ‘The Hirer’ will have 25% of the total hire charge minus deposit paid returned on the original method of payment.
d) Cancellation ‘The Hirer’ on the day, after the vehicle has left our premises - 0% of the total hire charge will be returned.
Notwithstanding the above, refunds may be made in exceptional circumstances. This covers matters that would prevent the hirer from continuing with their bus hire - for example a serious illness, a death in the immediate family, or breach of contract on the part of McCalls Coaches. Documentary proof of such circumstances must be provided. Decisions on refunding the deposit where there are exceptional circumstances will be made by McCalls Coaches at their discretion.
If your refund is approved, we will initiate a refund to your credit card (or original method of payment). You will receive the credit within a certain amount of days, depending on your card issuer’s policy.
